The Credit Valley, Toronto and Region and Central Lake Ontario (CTC) Source Protection Plan details how activities under the Clean Water Actare regulated and applies to all the Wellington County municipalities located within the Credit Valley watershed. The CTC Source Protection Plan came into effect on December 31st, 2015. For Source Protection Plan policies to apply, the property must be located within a municipal well head protection area. For a significant drinking water threat policy to apply, certain groundwater vulnerability scores must be present (often score of 10).
Within Wellington County, the CTC Source Protection Plan applies to parts of the Town of Erin including Erin and Hillsburgh.
